Deanna Flournoy is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in weight loss management, medical nutrition therapy, and diabetes self-management education.
She is a native of the area but has enjoyed living in various parts of the country including New Orleans, Louisiana, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. In 2018, Deanna was unexpectedly diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and was treated by the Woodland’s Medical Specialist’s healthcare team. Though this experience placed a brief hold on her education and career, the journey helped to confirm her passion of helping others with their health goals, especially within the Woodland’s community.
Deanna graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nutrition. She completed the associated ACEND-accredited post-baccalaureate dietetic internship throughout various locations across the Gulf Coast and has been a guest speaker at the Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors. Deanna’s passion includes helping others reach their health goals through empowering individuals with the skills and knowledge of how nutrition impacts their overall well-being and quality of life.
In her free time, Deanna enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and big puppy, Wesley. She also enjoys volunteering and providing nutrition education for the community by working hand in hand with the Northwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Council of the Blind, RD Mentorship Program, and SNAP-Education Summer Program.
